"StorySharing" Curriculum

The "StorySharing" curricular unit allows K-12 students to enact the same innovative process used by the professional Stories that Soar! acting troupe. Students are celebrated as authors, collaborators, designers and performing artists with this engaging and meaningful, community building curriculum.

The lesson plans are designed to develop students' higher order thinking skills while addressing standards in language arts, theatre arts, technology and workplace skills. This student-centered learning is appropriate for all ages and cultures since students use their own literature as the basis for their work.

The 'StorySharing" curriculum can be used in conjunction with the live show or as a stand-alone unit. We are creative and flexible in structuring the unit to fit the needs of a school. We can incorporate StorySharing into after school programming or summer camps. Schools can hire a trained teaching artist to implement the lessons or to have one act as a consultant to the classroom teacher.
